How often would I see you? I recommend starting with weekly sessions in order to build a solid connection and a foundation for working together. It can be difficult to build momentum in the therapeutic process when meeting less frequently, especially when there is an occasional cancellation. As progress is made, we discuss transitioning to every other week and continue to decrease session frequency.
When and where do you see clients? I hold in-person sessions at my office at 1805 S. Bellaire St. #215, Denver, CO 80222. I also offer telehealth sessions via a HIPAA-compliant video conference platform for clients who live far from my office and for clients who aren’t able to make it into the office. I am not able to offer weekend or evening appointment times. All sessions are by appointment only.
What is the best way to contact you? The best way to contact me is by email. If I receive an email, text, or phone call that I deem clinically sensitive or that requires an in-depth response, I will ask that you schedule a phone session or in-person session. Due to licensing requirements, I am not permitted to offer clinical advice over email or texts. You are welcome to text me, call me, or email me about scheduling. If after hours, I will reply the next day during business hours.
What forms of payment do you accept for self-pay appointments? I accept cash, check, and credit/debit cards (this includes HSA cards). Payment is due at the time of service. I require all clients to provide a credit/debit card to be kept on file so that if cash or check payment is not provided at the time of service, I can charge the card. This policy has been put into place due to past difficulties securing payment.
Do you accept insurance? Yes - please visit this page to see my most up-to-date list of insurance companies I work with. Please verify your benefits before scheduling your first paid appointment.
What is your cancellation policy? A 48-hour notice is required to cancel an appointment. Clients who cancel with less than 48-hours notice will be charged the full session fee out-of-pocket unless there is a significant life/death event (i.e., car accident, family death, major emergency). Cancellations for Monday sessions must occur by the Friday before the scheduled sessions.
Are you available after hours for emergencies? I do not operate an emergency practice, and I am not available after hours in cases of crisis or medical emergency. In the event of a crisis or medical emergency, please call 911 for help or go directly to your local hospital emergency room.
What does therapy with you look like? Therapy is collaborative and tailored to you. We may work on practical tools to manage anxiety, explore thought patterns that feel stuck, and gently address deeper emotional themes using approaches like IFS. Sessions are paced intentionally, with an emphasis on safety and self-compassion.
Is therapy with you a good fit if I’m unsure about having children or continuing treatment? Absolutely. Ambivalence, uncertainty, and mixed feelings are welcome here. Therapy can be a place to explore your values and emotions without pressure or expectation.
